1. If you could live anywhere, where would it be and why?
If I could live anywhere, I would live in Ireland. While I do not consider myself Irish, I have Irish blood in me, and it would be nice to learn more about my ancestors. I also love the landscape with the open fields and blue skies.
2. What is your biggest fear?
My biggest fear is heights. I have done my part in trying to conquer this fear, however, through climbing mountains in Colorado and standing on a glass floor on top of Willis Tower in Chicago.
3. What really makes you angry?
I remember reading something that went over the things that irritate people the most, and the top one was “when technology does not work the way it should”. I wholeheartedly agree with that statement.
4. Would you rather ride a bike, ride a horse, or drive a car?
As someone who has done all of these, I would prefer a car. Bikes are enjoyable for a time and then it becomes more like work. I have also had some bad experiences horseback riding. Cars are good and nothing beats speeding down the highway in a nice car.
5. If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Chicken stir fry with rice, chicken, broccoli, and a good sauce. It might be because I am having it tonight and it is on my mind, but I would be perfectly fine with that for the rest of my life.
6. Do you like or dislike surprises? Why or why not?
I would say it all comes down to the type of surprise. In general, yes, I like surprises. To me, they simply amplify the news you are receiving. If it is good news, boom – better. If bad news, well that sucks a little more, but you gotta go big or go home.
7. How would your friends describe you?
Relaxed and witty. Generally in a good mood and always ready to play a game.
8. What is the best gift you have been given?
I have received a lot of amazing gifts in my life, I have been incredibly lucky. Most of them have come from my family or my girlfriend, but the best gift I have been given came from my parents. I was lifeguarding one day when my boss came up to me and said that my dad dropped off my car. Well, I did not have a car, so I rushed outside to see what he was talking about and there was my 2007 Ford Mustang.
9. List two pet peeves.
My top pet peeve is when people use words or phrases that they do not understand the meaning of, however they use it because that is what everyone does.
Another pet peeve of mine is common: when someone either eats with their mouth open or smacks their lips. Luckily, this does not happen very often anymore.
10. Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years, I would like to be married, have a kid or two and be a lawyer hopefully working at Fortman Law. These are some hefty goals, but when picturing the future, it’s always best to be optimistic.
